Questions about the Doctor

By 6:48pm - The doctor had arrived to the house.
By 7:52pm - B&D were taking molds of April's feet???

I again question so many things here. A child that had so many medical problems that it's a miracle she was born alive, and after it took the doctor 4 hours to get there, he stayed for less than an hour - while the baby's heart rate was declining???

Of all the things I question about this story, this one to me is the most unbelievable. A doctor would NEVER leave a child with Trisomy 13, Holoprosencephaly, and a decreasing heart rate at home with it's parents after a 50 minute visit.

  1. I'm just finding all of these blogs about the baby being fake. I have to admit, I'm a little hurt! Not by you or the other blogger, but because I followed so closely and waited. I did have questions towards the end reading that they were doing a home birth. I thought that was a little strange having 3 babies myself and knowing that if 1 tiny thing was wrong at all there's no way the dr's would've let me give birth at home. But I blew it off thinking, well if she's not expected to live I guess I'd fight for a comfortable birth too.
But now, seeing the pictures of the doll and every single thing you have listed on your blog have changed my mind. If it's not a scam they wouldn't completely take everything down. And green eyes? I questioned that the minute it read it on the real blog.
What a shame to get so many people wrapped up in a fake story.

  2. Oh, I forgot something else. What dr comes to the house? None that I know of. They would've been taken to the hospital by ambulance to have her checked thoroughly.

  3. I am so hurt and upset by this. How could "B" have lied to us and decieved us all for MONTHS like this??? I so want to believe she didn't lie. That there really is a April Rose. But it is becoming harder and harder. So many things point to it not being true. I am just so upset.

  4. Excellent questions. I too am upset by this. Looking back, there are a lot of questions surrounding her blog and twitter that can't be answered. I really hope there is some explanations but sadly I don't think there will be.

  5. Such a sad turn of events. I can't understand what would drive someone to create a fake story like this. All the points you've outlined are valid concerns...just sickening.

I wonder if NILMDTS is aware of how their name has been used (or misused)...

  6. I seem to remember reading that B said she spoke with MckMama about the bad comments left on her blog. Does anyone else remember that? I wonder if she really did.

  7. I actually do recall seeing on B's twitter page where MckMama said she had left her a message or something to that effect. It was a while ago, and I don't remember the exact details, but I do know they have communicated.

I am a HUGE fan and follower of MckMama and will be very interested to see what (if anything) she ends up saying about all of this.

  8. Thank you for spelling out all these "red flags"so clearly. It is just simply pathetic that two people would a) dream up something like this and b) play on good peoples sympathies! A lot of the women following her blog had lost children with the problems that she claimed April had... so very cruel. To be honest I had my doubts all along, I found her blog through MckMama's and something about it just never rang true for me. Maybe it was the fact that Mckmama is SO transparent and open with pictures and names and she is so genuine that it just made this blog seem even more off to me. Well once again - thank you for posting this!! I hope everyone else who followed her blog will find yours and know the truth!

  9. I also remember her saying that she had a phone conversation with MckMama. I also am a HUGE fan of MckMama's and I hope this situation doesn't hurt her. I am also curious to see how she responds to all this...

  10. She mentioned MckMama, as well as Angie Smith. I would love to hear what they have to say about all of this. Also, what about her friend Raechel, who posted for her during April's birth? I am very, very confused about that. She took down everything she had originally posted about the birth.

I am just so sickened by the whole thing and really want answers. Sadly, like many others, I don't think we will get any.

  11. As of this morning, Angie Smith believed the story - check out her twitter account: http://twitter.com/angelac519.

  12. Her friend Raechel just twittered that she was talking with B on the phone. Raechel said she is writing a post for B.....

  14. Oh, gosh. I have been thinking about the Raechel/B connection all day. I hate to even go over it here, because I'd hate to see Raechel in any kind of pain. She did have a daughter die of Trisomy 13.

There are so many similarities between Raechel and B. Both girls with Trisomy 13, both with the white-blond hair. Raechel's daughter was stillborn in the month of April, which was the focus of B's blog. She originally made it sound like that's when HER baby would be born, as well.

They both describe themselves as "Daughter of the King" on their blogs. I believe Raechel used to live in Illinois, which is where B is from.

It seems like B just took Raechel's story and ran with it as her own. Honestly, for most of the day, until Gibson Twins posted the pics of "Beccah", I thought that Raechel was B. There were just so many coincidences.

I've been so sad all day. It doesn't matter who B is or why she did this...she is so disturbed and in so much pain. I hate that someone breaks like that, enough to risk everything. I am just worried about her being outed like this. I think it is placing her at risk of physical harm, either from someone else or at her own hands.

This whole situation is very sad.

  15. I don't believe that it took four hours for the doctor to get there. They just didn't want one there or plan on it. I think the midwives decided to have one come over (midwives work with doctors and this was a special situation) so he came and checked her out. There really wasn't anything else to do other than wait for when God was ready to take her.

  17. Raechel is a doula; she knows all about the birth process. She also know alot about trisomy. I'm really thinking that she is behind it. She can't be that dumb and believe what someone is saying when she isn't there??

  18. Another thing...

Something I wanted to mention that hasn't been brought up yet. "B" said "April" had holoprosencephaly. This is a disorder caused by the failure of the the embryonic forebrain to sufficiently divide into the double lobes of the cerebral hemispheres. It causes skull and facial defects. In most cases of holoprosencephaly, the malformations are so severe that babies die before birth. In less severe cases, babies are born with facial deformities that may affect the eyes, nose, and upper lip.

The least severe of the facial anomalies is the median cleft lip. The most severe is cyclopia, an abnormality characterized by a single eye located in the area normally occupied by the root of the nose, and a missing nose or a proboscis (a tubular-shaped nose) located above the eye. The least common facial anomaly is ethmocephaly, in which a proboscis separates closely-set eyes. Cebocephaly, another facial anomaly, is characterized by a small, flattened nose with a single nostril situated below incomplete or underdeveloped closely-set eyes.

The pictures posted show a baby (doll) with no facial deformities at all. I realize babies with Trisomy 13 can sometimes be born without facial deformities, but holoprosencephaly is DEFINED by facial deformities. So "B"'s baby should have had at LEAST a cleft lip, at minimum, which would have been obvious in the pictures she posted.

How disappointing that anyone would lie about something as serious as a baby with a severe birth defect.

  19. We don't know that the doctor wasn't there during the time they were making the molds of the feet. Nothing was said of when he left or anything. People are too eager to "read between the lines" and come up with their own story.

  20. I hope for you sake you are right. I would hate for you to be wrong and have to live with making what might be an already painful time in someones life worse. I am a labor and delivery nurse and after reading your "arguments" I kind of think you do not know as much as you think you do. For one, babies with HPE and trisomies can breastfeed and two, newborn babies can breastfeed like "champs".

  21. First of all, she was diagnosed with LOBAR holoprosencephaly. Google that and you'll find that most cases show relatively normal facial structures, with a flatter nose.

Also, if you are not a doctor, than what gives you the authority to make such absolute statements?? "No doctor would do this", "Any doctor would do that".
